Don’t ever use that canned cranberry sauce again. Making your own cranberry sauce is easy and tastes so much better than red Jell-O substance that comes from the can. My favorite way to eat this chutney is the day after thanksgiving on a big leftover turkey sandwich.
Ingredients
12 oz Fresh Cranberries
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup orange juice
1 tbsp Orange zest
Juice of one lemon
2 ripe pears – chopped
¼ cup dried apricots – chopped
Procedure
Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil and cook until the cranberries skin pop. Best served at room temperature.
